Default F1 Madness

Looks like I'll be giving up the old USGT Sold the car a while ago, was thinking of getting another one, but am seriously contemplating F1 as my second class. The only thing is that nobody really runs it except Swifty. Come on now, lets get this class going. With the advent of yet another possible TC class, it's getting pretty boring. I think it's definitely time to step up to the F1 class. Who else is gonna be getting one for the upcoming season? Or is this just gonna be another class that lasts for half a season? Rubber Tire Pan Car racing at its finest!

Hey Mr. Bub, I'm going to be committing myself to F1 this year also. I believe we're going to have more than just a few this year and they're getting easier to drive and they're a blast.

Let's do it!

Not going to run F1. But it would be nice to narrow down what's going on with stock touring car and reducing the number of classes. If it's going to 21.5 I'm thinking USGT is done??

Touring car will follow roar rules. And yes I believe JR is correct that if stock becomes 21.5 it will likely be the end of USGT as there is no reason to run 2 21.5 touring car classes.

Neat side effect maybe the possibility of 17.5 going to middle class and having a faster and slower option.

F1 is the coolest looking yet a harder car to race. If we can get a regular showing through the summer we will add it to the winter series.
Which national rules package...
UF1 Rules and Regulations | UF1 RC

Only exception here is battery voltage which will be superceed by the house(ROAR) rules: 8.40

Just got done glancing at those rules. Kind of a cool concept. (3) 15 minute races sounds great.

Option classes: These are classes that are new or resurrecting. I.E.
1/10th Off Road, F1, WGT, USVTA, 1/12 13.5 WGTR They will be run as long as they have Three or more racers for the class and/or may be combined with another class during the day. Racers in those classes need to conform to the rules package..

Couple of quick notes as we are close to the Points Races.

First Points race heats will be set random. We will work to avoid back to back races and move accordingly, Also we will work to separate groups who have traveled to race and Family members so they do not have to race each other..

2nd and following races will be set by Points Standings.

Mains will be set by Top 9 drivers with the 10th driver Bumping in, If the class is marginal on the next main, ie 1 or 2 drivers in the C with 10 in the B we will run 3 or 4 in the lowest main and bump 2 drivers. This will be true of the b,c,d etc.

Example: 11 drivers in VTA, top 8 will go to the A, bottom 3 will race the B with two of the three bumping into the A.

12 drivers in VTA, top 8 will go to the A, bottom 4 will race the B with two of the Four bumping into the A

We expect to resort after the 2nd round. Currently that is the choice of:
1st half of season Top Qualifier of the 2nd largest class that day.
2nd half of season Top Qualifier of the 3rd largest class that day.

As long as we continue to see the track change through the day Qual points will be used with exception to large races where track times become consistent for the event. Qual points will be 2 out of 3 rounds on normal Sunday's .

On Road Season Championships will be decided on a 5 Race series with 1 throw out
Each racer will be given a point for each position were they finish in each series. The racer with the most amount of points will become the season champion and there name will be added to the Jacket.

Spec classes tech: Speedos may be checked before or after any qual or main for compliance with ROAR rules:

Motors will be deemed legal as long as all factory markers are in place and no signs of tampering with case or Soldering of winds is evident to the RD.

Winning Motors in Spec classes maybe Teched for $40.00 by any top 3 finisher in that class. Motors will be checked on Shop tools for legality. If found in compliance the Techie will get the Funds minus $20.00 and motor back. If found illegal funds will be returned to protester and racer will be disqualified. Going into 2013-2014 Gom readings under 20 will be considered illegal for club level competition.

Are Jaco Blues going to continue to be the spec sedan tire for mmr? Preparing for running sedan for Winter and not a ton of positive reviews of this tire concerning usable life vs other tires such as Gravities and doesn't appear to justify any grip advantages vs usable life?
