and your in R/C guy.

Wow. Look up Lipo and Brushless. Lipos are batteries, a new battery that lasts longer and brushless, is a motor that is much faster then a stock motor.

Look them up before asking. Go to towerhobbies.com. Look them up.

We haven't gotten many pre-entries for this one but, if any of you guys up north are going to be making the trip, I want to get a roll-call going on our thread. Just post your info here:http://www.rctech.net/forum/nebraska...19th-22nd.html

Hope to see youi guys in a few weeks!

Thanks,

Tim Ski

I feel that if it were an open tire event this may help the turn-out as people could just run what they already have. I understand why tires are limited at asphalt events, but IMO carpet races dont realy need this due to the fact that (on carpet) most rubber tires actually get better with more runs on them.
The problem is that if it were open tire, nobody would run what they have. One smart guy would have to bring ten sets of a super grippy tire and put a new set on each run and everyone would have to follow suit to compete. I've done it myself years ago. I'm sure I had eight or ten sets of tires at the time that had the wrong inserts and didn't work. A spec tire makes it equal for everyone.

That being said, we will allow the Xenon 28 premounts to be used for this race only. Mainly because they will be run at the upcoming Nats. Basically the legal tires will be Jaco Prism greens and blues or the Xenon 28 premounts.

Thanks,

Tim Ski

So myself and the other guy from Eastren Iowa, Illinois that are coming over both ordered (3) new sets each of Jaco Greens a few days ago. So now it looks like things have changed less then 2 weeks before the race. If the race was promoted that way it should stay that way, now you have (3) different tires to choose from and you are back to square 1.

I know you can't make everyone happy, and I know it takes time to plan these races, and thanks for organizing this, but If people are going to travel for a race, $28 for a set of tires or $84 for (3) sets should be fine. IF cost is an issue, use one set.

With all that being said, what is the best tire for your track? I sure hope it is Jaco greens since I am sure that I am not the only one in this position now.

Thanks
With the amount of traction we'll get for this race, the Jaco greens are the best tire to use.
