Wow long work day today but the floor is looking good! A little more work on floor tomorrow and the carpet can go down. Which means yes another work day tomorrow at 10:00 AM. Hope to get the carpet down tomorrow and maybe the layout. First race will be next saturday. Again we are just north of the old Kmart on north broadway. A lot of work done today and it is looking great!!!

Thumbs up New Place

Bob the new place is going to be great and now it is 20 miles closer to you so we will expect to see you a little more often!!! After all how often do you get to run on a big rug at a club race? Do rest assured though that just because the track is bigger doesn't mean that we are going to play on it more and maybe even get FASTER??? NO NO NO that will never happen( with my fingers crossed ). Anyway the track is looking good, it is 36'x92', the floor is looking nice and smooth, the carpet went down very good, the lighting will be good, we will have a microwave and fridge for soda. I better stop there I don't want to let it all out of the bag or you will not need to see it for your self. We are contimplating another mini 2 day event later on as well. Our first club race at the new track will be this Saturday at 9:00 AM.We are also going to be looking for some new racers in the 18th scale class so we have more of a entry level class.

thats really great you guys got a place. I remember being in minot in 98 - 99 and there wasn't anything for RC, at least what I was able to find. Tried to do some parking lot racing but it didn't get going.

Any tips on how to get something like that going here in Fargo?

We will be up at the new track on Thursday afternoon around 4:00 to start putting the track together. We are going to be practicing after the track is set up. I believe it will be $5.00 to practice. We are looking forward to seeing everyone there!!

Our first official race is Saturday Dec. 29th, with the doors opening up at 9:00 sharp. We are also doing a potluck after racing Saturday. We will be at Buttsy's for the potluck. Have a great week!!

Exclamation Race this Saturday

It sounds like a good turnout for this Saturday and the Pingree guys will be up with 10th touring as well so if there is any interest from this area in the touring class I am pretty sure we will have enough to run them. It sounded like it would probably be stock that most would want to run. 1/12th scale is still going to be our main class but if there are enough to run other classes and still keep our core group of 12th then anything is possible. If there are any groups of people out there running other classes please get in contact with us. If we can get 4-5 or more cars in a class we will consider it for a class. We want to bring new members into the club and make it grow,we are going to have a great facility here so LET MORE FUN BEGIN!!!!!!!

New facility sounds GREAT guys (oh, and Janet). I'd head over to break it in Sunday if I could imagine surviving even a third of the car trip. Bastard surgeons didn't manage to kill me (not that they didn't try) but I'm alternating not feeling too bad (being still for a lengthy period) with periods of wishing I'd die (pretty much any movement involving bending my abdomen.

Hopefully I'll be ok for Pingree in Feb...if someone will put my car on the floor and pick it up for me. And I can bring my own table to have pit stuff not on the floor. They say that'll be a no-no for a while. A fairly LOOOONNGGGG while.

Keep us up on progress. You sound excited about the new digs, as you should be. Imagine if racing GREW in cen-Dak...
