that was me bob, im rolled out at a dab over 3.09 78 spur 45 pinnion with a 1.710 rear tire. still trying to fine tune it
What temp are you at?
On our short little track after my first bit of testing (ran out of pinions big enough), We should have pinions up to 55 in a week or so. Crazy motors..
I stopped at 160-165 degrees in temp. Rolled out about 75mm. and it's about the same as stock. "possibly" faster, for me, not necessarily anybody else. So far, it's about .04 per lap on average. Could be car setup too, I have 2 different cars setup for testing. One brushed 27, one 17.5
Are you getting a really funny coggin, notchy, stripped spur sound under coasting and drag braking? That part wigs me out. Just sounds funny. I think it's the armature passing through it's field and taking up the slack in the mesh.
Or, to beat Buttsy to the punch, maybe I have a stripped gear...

after a race my temp was 115 to 118. I get a funny noise from 1/4 throttle to 3/4 throttle, after that it pretty quiet, my noise sounds like a bad gear mesh, I have ran it loose and tight, but the funny noise is still their. after a while you don't hear it. lol

Sounds like there is room to go up a few teeth or 10.

I was referring to the "upper" stage. I need to stop in to check on some other things, I'll have a look a) measure the railing heights, b) see if there isn't a removeable section (strikes me there is/was) and c) check how we would route a ramp. I think it would come up on the opposite side from the stairs from by the roll-up exterior door on the north side.
If all else fails would Mike (Mike?) be ok if I bring the risers (what we usually use for driver's stand) up from downstairs?

Buttsy doesnt need a ramp, just some offroad tires and a new battery in that chair and he can go everywhere LOL.
It sounds like a great time Scott wish I could go.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery to your wife!! I just had some fusion surgery before Christmas (they went in through my guts!!) and am pretty much pain-free. Was awfully tired for longer than I expected, but at the 6 week check doc says the bone is fusing together nicely.
Also said six more weeks of this damn brace. I can't wait for that to be done.

Thanks, Scottrik. This will be her second. The first was arthoscopic in the lower back. Amazingly easy recovery. This one is much more evasive, though maybe not quite as serious as yours. Buttsy told me of a friend who had the same as hers and was up playing cards with a smile in 4 days. I'm not sure I can plan on travel to Montana for your event, though. Gotta play it by ear for now.

Not sure exactly what she's having done. I had a laminectomy (partial disk removal) at the same point (L5-S1) through a 4-5" incision in my low back 20 years ago. They had me up walking that afternoon (not without some discomfort) and I was back to work in a week. Bought a new dirtbike the next week and was riding it inside a month.
This time the only REAL discomfort was the staples holding my "ceasarian scar" together down my abdomen. I was up and walking the next morning. There's never really been pain in my back, just the odd crick now and then. She should be "up and playing cards" the next day. The thing that beat me was how tired I was and how long it took to kick that. I commented to my wife that hadn't happened the last time and she suggested that me being 20 years older likely had a lot to do with it. Those darn women are so smart it frightens me.
