Checked out practice results on JLap...Great Tool!!
Can you give us elapsed time per set of laps ( lap one to lap 'x', before it resets back to lap one the next time a car returns to the track) in the chart? It would be nice to track batt performance per individual practice run on the track.
Conner did 258 laps on one battery before dumping. At an average of 7 secs per lap, that gives him roughly 30 mins of battery on that track.
With a good, gharged batt, I think one batt would be good enough to run 2-3 four min heats and an 8 min main, maybe re-peaking between runs.
Even if you are coming to practice it would be great if you reg first. That way the system wilkl recognise your transponder to name when announcing lap times.
all transpoders run at The Shoe are already in the system but HT uses a seperate computer so those transponders will not be in the system.
Brian showed up with a brand new car, one pack, we switched the wire to 5 cell and he was able to get through all the quals and the main, really pushing for one batt but you could easily do two quals on one pack and the final on another. 8 minutes was easy also for runtime.
Sandy is prepping a mean 18r for the track maybe a bit too much bling instead of go but should be ready by the time we get back from the show.
Scott got his teeth wet tonight and is swaping battery wires probably right now.
Rememeber next week we do not have a track it will be at the ihobby expo for the demo track. But the following week we will have it back up like normal. We then should be able to post a series schedule and start running points.
With the track gone at ihobby, we cleaned and resealed the foor. That left us with a very shinney surface. Just perfect for Drifting.
Talk about testing your skills in holding the car. Dots will be setup and you can drift to your delight. I am almost amazed at how much grip you do get but you need to force the throttle a bit and keep the tires spinning to get the perfect line. Wonder if anyone will be able to do the side by side thing they do on the real drift comps?
racing is on this week. track is back up with some new changes. working on the extra day a week schedule now with a added round flip. should be cool.
points series will post shortly. we are going to use the associated stock motor, and 5 cells to spec in the cars. so be prepped we can still allow you to race but will dq on the points series. And from what we have seen it is not faster usually the reverse.
