History of the race: Originally conceived as a time filler between the triple A-mains at a large touring car race, the Mega Mini Madness became an instant classic in its own right.
With 20 M-chassis cars on track for a three round, heads up, throw down, every inch of asphalt was contested for every minute of all three races. Racers were already asking when the next M.M.M. would happen even before the third main was over.
Amazingly, one racer won all three mains to claim the first Mega Mini Madness championship. But who will put together three good runs to claim the championship at the revival race?
Format: Every mini racer will run two, 3 minute, IFMAR style qualifiers in 10 car heats, and their fastest few laps will seed them into the main events. The top 20 fastest mini racers will run the 20 car triple A-main, and the next 20 mini racers will run a 20 car triple B-main, so on and so forth. The triple mains will run heads up, first to the finish line wins. Points will be awarded for each finishing position and ties will be broken by laps and finishing times. TCS/Brownie's Beach rules apply: TCS rules for basic stuff like weight and voltage, and Beach rules allow non-Tamiya bodies (no TC style bodies), and no one is going to care about aftermarket parts that are indistinguishable from Tamiya parts (ie: 3racing aluminum stuff) and/or offer no performance advantage (like my red TOP hex adapters). Basically, show up with a mini with standard gear ratios (no speed gear sets) and no outrageous modifications and you'll get to have the absolute most fun EVER with it!
The Sunday Grand Prix: All the usual Brownie's Hobbies Beach racing classes will be on offer, plus the usual Jackson R/C classes, and anything else anyone wants to run (4 makes a class). Three rounds of qualifying and single mains.

I am thinking of getting a mini.
Would Tamiya M-06 Kit with Alfa Romeo Giulia body be legal for this race?
Or do you have to stick with FWD chassis?

Go for it.
Motors:
We ran silver can, Reedy 21.5 and I ran an old Gen 2 Tekin 21.5. The Reedy and Gen 2 were pretty darn even in terms of speed. I hope they don't enforce the TCS rule because I don't feel like buying a $100 motor for a few days use a year.
