[QUOTE=bmxcrx;14206295]Yes, VTA picks up in the fall and winter months. It's open to any 4WD touring chassis.
thanks, I was just curious as I have seen TC4 and a HB and also a XRAY car all setup for VTA. I looked over the rules and didn't see any chassis restrictions so I wasn't sure. also seen it says you need a rear bumper? did I read that right? I would like to get another chassis to run this class but want something ARTR, and didn't want to buy the wrong car for the class.

If you do want a TC4 I know RCCW has one in stock. I've never seen any of the guys run a rear bumper, so I can't see that being a big deal. There has been a few VTA cars for sale in the for sale section here.

[QUOTE=bmxcrx;14206450]VTA is awesome. Any 4WD chassis works and can be somewhat competitive in the right hands. Maybe they mean the body must have a rear bumper? I've never seen anyone run a chassis bumper. Most tracks waive the driver figure rule, but the weight, motor, body, and tire rules are always enforced. It's such a fun and cool-looking class. I'll be running mine this weekend, which is an old Associated TC3 that runs BEAUTIFULLY! It's one of my favorite cars in my fleet to drive. Hope to see you out there soon with yours!

1/24th scale racing
Do you guys have plans to run 1/24th scale racing for cars such as the Kyosho Mini -z or the Losi Trucks (1/24th scale trucks)?
Due to the ultra low cost (especially with the Losi truck) would be a great way to introduce people into the hobby.
Thanks,

We haven't had a demand for it, we had a 1/24 scale off road track but there was very little interest in it.

I would suggest a Tamiya TT02 with a cheap radio setup for new racers and mah limit on a lipo... try to get drivers in for under $300... maybe 350 with a decent charger. Maybe go so far as restrict it to original parts only, except for maybe those who want to use a different radio.

Beginner class
Thanks for the information guys. The problem with RC Racing is the high cost of entry to start racing. It is hard to get others to join you when you start talking hundreds of dollars.
I'll keep an eye on the Vaterra cars mentioned and see if interest is drummed up.
