Trains and Lanes has historically raced offroad only on Sunday. This year, in addition to our normal Sunday club and special races, a few of the Trains and Lanes special races are being held on a Saturday. We are also participating in a 4-race series with other neighboring tracks http://www.rctech.net/forum/racing-f...es-2015-a.html. Trains and Lanes is also hosting the 2015 ROAR PA State Championships on Saturday, August 1st. As a participating track in these series, we will not be racing on any series race weekends this year. Instead, we encourage all of our our racers to support the series races instead. Also, we will NOT be racing on Thursday Nights this season.

Please be sure to check the schedule below for actual race dates and times.

Our racing surface is mainly clay material and the dimensions are approximately 100' x 200'. The driver's stand is 24' long with a handicap ramp and kick-out for those racing with us that need it. There is an onsite hobby shop, water, port-o-potty, electric, and air compressor.

Please bring your own table, chair, EZUps, extension cords, etc.

There is plenty of room to accomodate racers with RV's and trailers.

We use the newest MyLaps RC4 Decoder and RC Scoring Pro Software. Please be sure your personal transponder is RC4 compatible. We do not have rental transponders at this time.

Some of the popular tires that many racers use are (this is just to give an idea, yes there are others):

I visited the track last year. Really cool place. I would really like to try outdoor. I'm running indoor high grip clay sct mod. Do you guys think the vehicle setup is much different from indoor.

More than likely your setup will be quite different than what you're running indoor. Outdoor tracks are typically much faster, jumps are bigger, and they are just not as smooth. Bring it out and give it a try. Just about any small or medium pin tire in super soft or soft works well on our track.
