Hmmmm, now, should I respond to this?? Well, I guess I should since you put me on blast. OK, let me see, I think I did have some VTA stuff from a couple years back. I'll have to check under the dust bunnies in the basement, or did I give it all to the local neighborhood kids to play with? Tell ya what, ole' buddy,,,, I'll come down to run with you "once" in VTA, if you step up and run 17.5 with me. The gauntlet has been thrown down, you up for the challenge big fella????
Note to anyone reading this, it is not a slap in the face of anyone on any level and is only directed at my racing buddy Phil

Would not mind trying 17.5, but I have no motor or tires for that class also not thrilled in converting the car back over and over again since I only have 1 elec. car that could run 17.5 and currently serving as my VTA ride. I guess we might have to wait until nitro season to mix it up.

Hey guys! Hope all is well. I'm thinking of coming back to RC this winter and I'm completely out of the loop. I want to get back to 17.5 TC.
What's the hot ticket these days for roller, battery, motor & body?
Your feedback would be much appreciated & I hope to see you all soon.

With the new xray out...and with the Horsham ties to awesomatix you are in a good position.
If I had a clean slate... I personally would get a shaft car... but that's just because I want to try one..Not because it's the best fit. I think you can pick out any current car and do well.
For me tc improvement came with consistent and precise car preparation.

Joe..as stated the xray, 6.2 and mig are all great cars. I got three seasons with my xray..and although it's finally worn out....I broke very little and I was competitive for my skill set.

Got any advice on a good motor? Think that's all I'll need to hit the track once my car arrives.

Hey Joe, A warm welcome back. The best Motor in touring is the Team powers Actinium 17.5. that motor has Plenty of spunk it has a lot of nice power.

you gotta love how JD calls the Awesomatix a "Mig"
.....weapons of choice.
ps...if anyone is interested I'm selling a 6.2 (used about 10 packs, backup to a backup car ), this is a Horsham sale only....
