I have hoped and hoped MBR would become a regular venue. There are no tracks around here less than 1.5-2 hours away but MBR is a private track on private property and although it is a beautiful facility, there is no regularity with it. No set schedule, no practice and no real advanced notice. Weather has been bad this year which hasn't helped at all though.

I would LOVE for there to be some regular racing in the Roanoke/Salem area. From the interest I have seen on MBRs page it seems like it would do well. Salem has a well established and long running hobby store owned by a gentleman who would happily support a regular race series/track. We just need someone to do it. If I had the money I would set something up because I firmly believe the interest is there. Tracks spark interest and are what bring the hobby back.

Or any kind of onroad racing...

I finally got to run MBR today. Weather was great, the track is a lot of fun and the owner is a really cool guy. I'm glad I opted to run their Toys for Tots race instead of running dirt oval today. I sucked ass but I still had fun.

Old thread, I know, but anyways...

MBR Compound is going to be running this year. Track is being redesigned right now and will have more details soon at: https://www.facebook.com/thembrcompound

There is on-road racing in the area. Right now VTA and 1/12 scale 13.5T. But will add other classes as they gain popularity. - http://mbrspeedshop.com/
