That's the same motor ThumbRC sells. Pretty sure that seller is them, since they're located in Gagetown Michigan which is where ThumbRC is located.

These motors are no longer on HK site. Not sure why, was hoping to buy one.

Not to sure of Trackstars quality anymore, had a couple AE SC18 SCT trucks, got a couple brushless motor/esc combos, worked great, couldn't be more happy with the performance for around $30, since then got a couple LC Racing SCT brushless trucks, decided to get the Trackstar 45a waterproof ESC, first one failed on the second battery pack, HKreplaced it plus freight, second one failed 30 seconds later, burning up servo and receiver wires,$60 to replace, store credit only from HK

I got one of the sensorless 380 Trackstar motors for my M8T. It was great for 2 packs until it burnt up into smoke. It was on 2S geared 13/60. Majorly disappointed.

I'm not using the Turnigy 2445 - 4700kv. It's not as torquey as the 380, but it hasn't burnt out after 5 packs yet.

I'd like to know how this Sensored Trackstar is working out as well.

I know this is a some what old thread, but best option for sensored motor for 1/14th scale like Losi Mini Eight and Vaterra is for sure the Leopard Hobby 2838's.
Got two of them just waiting to drop them in my cars. I have some Losi Mini Eight's and a Vaterra Kalahari.

Yeah the instructions don't say what card the esc works with and the cards don't say what escs they work with and Hobbyking has like 3 different Trackstar programmers.

Well the programming box I link to should be the perfect fit for the 45A ESC.

Regards.

Just happy I can help a fellow RC enthusiast.

Now I just noticed that the programmin box is on backorder in the global warehouse, it's in stock in the UK warehouse.
However I do not know if they ship to your location.

But it's worth a try or if you are not in any hurry, you can just set up a stock alert for the global warehouse so you will be notified when it's back in stock.
Strangely it's rare that they run out of stuff in the global warehouse,
it's pretty common stuff is out of stock in the European warehouse (that's where I get my stuff) time and time again stuff is on backorder when I need something, and due to insanely lame import laws where I live it's not really an option to order stuff from the global warehouse because the cost of stuff doubles or tripples due to import taxation.

Fortunately I'm the type of person who has alot of patience.
Anyway enough drivel from me.

Below is a list of parameters that can be changed on waterproof ESC's with said programming box

Programming Options (Waterproof ESC):
Battery Type
Operation Mode
Initial Brake
Drag Brake
Motor Timing
Acceleration
Forward Limit
Reverse Limit
Drive Frequency
Neutral Dead Band
Reverse Rotation
Restore Default

Cheers.
