Got my build under way. Was installing the Aluminum front arm holder and find that the front arms bind up. I measured the truggy and buggy arms where they mount and it looks like the truggy arm is 1mm wider which would explain the binding. Has anyone else had this issue?

Three issues with the steering...
1. Stock servo is slow and lags
2. Stock servo saver is a little sloppy
3. Losi fills the "drivers side" steering post with loc tite and it's impossible to adjust

I just replaced everything....

The 8ight-t has a completely different steering setup from the buggy.

The 2845 I am using is this one from Hobbyking but I bet its very similiar to the leopard (just cheaper!)

(I.e. Leave it stock)

Regarding power, the mini 8ight-t is slow as stock and will get way too hot with a 3s. Did you really think that little motor would push around a "big" mini? The vxl seems to be the go to, but there is better out there if you look.....

Dont you think that i would've only tried shimming after the stock setup failed???.....im waiting on diffs now....ordering 4.....

that motor is faster than the stock/ and could you run up to 3s? with decent temps, i have to figure the motor deal out as well...assuming stock esc and that motor would be a decent start, better than stock?

Hey guys, so I was going to do the traxxas spur mod on my mini 8ight-t and I go to get he big bearing off the pressure plate and it was thread locked on so I heated it up then pried and it blew apart on me. The only way losi sells the bearing is as a kit. Can any of you guys get me measurements of that big bearing so I can possibly substitute it for something else because I only need that one big bearing now so the. Small one can fit into it for the spur mod.

Can't you just measure the one you blew up? Otherwise, just grab the stock traxxas bearing, it's the same thing without doubling two up (I think). If not, I'd go get a better set of bearings than stock anyways, everything losi makes as stock is very low quality. Boca is my go to, otherwise acer is always a good route to go for bearings....

Buying a complete set of new bearings is what I'd suggest as well!

I only run 3s (1500mah) and after about 10 mins its in the 130-145* range. No fan on the motor (esc I have one). Great motor.
