Got all the 'upgrade' parts in today. very nicely made and very happy with them. Apparently I am a moron and can't read because I did order some things I don't need and that already come on the truck. Oh well, into the parts bin.

I am starting to get some grinding sounds from my spur gear and was wondering if anyone had tried the hot racing 60t spur gear that is for the 1/14 Losi?

https://www.amazon.com/Hot-Racing-SO.../dp/B0077S0S3M

Also, what pinion gear is everyone running?

Thanks!

The Hot Racing gears are good. It's a good idea to get a few pinions but I think I'm running a 14t currently.

Thanks! Will the lower numbered pinions (14,15,16, 17) give higher speed versus the 20 or 21t pinion?

Also, I will make a separate post but just wanted everyone here to know, Caster Racing/Warren RC is have a 25% off ALL LC Racing parts on the 24th. This is on their home page. I definitely plan on picking a few things up.

i got our light bars from toyz rc, they looked small enough to fit the lc sct we have, but they were bigger, not the width, but the height and depth, need to find some that are slim

The bigger the pinion the faster the speeds and the quicker heat builds up.

I'd like to see the side view of those lights please.

Thanks for the extra pics! The lights look really good on there.

Do the front lights affect the weight balance when you jump it?

Not at all,very light,
like i said, the light bars I got from toyz rc, under $15 each, hobby king had some duel white/red lights I used for the rear (to see the truck better going away) and some connector that you can plug everything into and have a single plug to go into the receiver (power), no need for a 9v battery

awesome. do you have the part number for that connector piece you mention?

Also, I ended up putting the brushed body on my car to give the other one a breather from getting beat up so much. Not sure if the bodies are the same but I did jump (1ft ramp) and the body exploded at the front right on impact (clean landing). The whole front right panel is gone and there are huge cracks all the way to the left side of the car across the hood and all the way down the right along the cab. This was the body that came damaged in the package but still, not impressed. If I had been home I would have asked for a replacement body. before using it. Oh well, back to the old body. At least when I get home I will have the LC Racing body I just ordered from Caster Racing. I will be adding lights to that body.

Thanks for the info Petem.

The stock Tacon bodies are made out of pvc for some reason and don't last long even if you try doing things to keep it from breaking. I don't know why they do this.

The body that came with the brushless has a few cracks but it is flexible. Myt self and several others have honestly beat the hell out of the body and it has held up pretty well. For some reason that brushed body literally shattered though.

i'll get the part# for the connector and rear lights, the stock PVC bodies suck, my wife's lasted about 4 battery packs, the PC bodies are better, but i've switched to the Kamtec Ram bodies, ran them all summer, solid body!
