Had no problem. Touring/rally cars coming soon. It does seem to be part of Hobbico site.

That's strange. Hobby store got the their new Quad a week ago. And they have already ordered the Touring/rally cars. I ordered 2. Store has said any problems with the order.

They are probably shipping what they have left and then everyone with a DROMIDA vehicle will be screwed with no support or parts

site seems to be fine, ...guess someone dropped the ball on their domain registration is all that happened...

Dromida has been selling craploads of cars and parts. I doubt they will be discontinued anytime soon.

The Wasteland vehicles are going away. Kinda of clever idea with the dart launcher. But just never caught on. Store still has few from original ordered. The other stuff sells. And store already has a number of the touring/rally cars ordered.

the dart launcher looked too toy grade for my tastes. I think at a toy store it would have done well, not at a hobby store?? Just my 2cents on that. I would guess that the on-road cars will probably do fairly well ...if they handle well then they could do really well.
I would love to see 1/18th make a comeback at the club level...

I noticed that the body has the tactic logo on it. Those are the servos I use on these cars and they work great. Hopefully that's why it's there, unless it was some kind of radio upgrade.

That post is fromthe project manager. No change in servo. But they did make some improvements. Hobby store is scheduled for Sept2 for brushed. Mid month for brushless.
Should be good timing, we run 1/18th that Sunday. So should have a few running.

:My quest to improve steering:
I know hot racing has updated parts but they cost a premium. So I looked into another outlet for similarities between the Dromida and the WL Toys Series A969. Online appearance is similar but I soon discovered the parts are very different.
Banggood Order
Aluminum Caster Blocks
Aluminum Bell Crank
Axle cups with pins
12mm Hex adaptors
A969 Body
$28.00
The body Ill just say it fits but will need new holes to be reamed. It was the last thing on my priority list.
Caster Blocks
WL toys is wider by 4mm so i grabbed a file and got to work. The stock bearing carrier is a hair too tall to fit in the wltoys Caster Block some fine grit sand paper took care of that quick.
Mounting
Mounts up fine you need to check clearance and make sure all the pins move freely. New pins and ball cup are not required your stock ones screw right in.
Observation
The wltoys caster block is much bigger and sits 2mm lower. The clearance for the sct wheel is minimal but still works. the assembly has no binding and still has full motion for turning. If i were going to do this again i would purchase the bearing carrier as well to insure fit in the caster block. This eliminated all flex in the to the caster i can see the improvement just by putting pressure on the tires.
Stub Axles
I do not have pictures of the stub axles in yet because i bought the wrong bearings. The outer bearings will need to be replaced to accommodate the stub axle shaft. I might be buying the wltoys bearing carriers so I will need to update this later. I will keep the stock carriers in the back so that will be a different bearing to the front.
Bell Crank
I had high hopes for this. Its wrong in every direction. Overall with is too long the pivoting hubs are 3mm too short. A spacer could be made but im not going to attempt until i find a solution for the width. This is the main piece i wanted to work so i will be updating.
Ill be back with updated info in a couple more weeks but if it costs another 20.00 i would be better off starting with a WL Toys A969 or just sticking with the hot racing pieces.
