It's identical to a Mini-Z AWD ball diff. Just stick that L shaped pin into the hole in the open slot, twist the opposing outdrive till the desired tightness and you're done.

I'm not familiar with Mini Z's but your explanation makes sense. Thanks, now I can adjust the diff!

Default which mini z bodies fit?

I bought a nissan skyline thinking it would fit but don't think the wheelbase is quite right.
Can someone tell me which mini z bodies fit and if I need any form of mounting hardware?

You want to look for 98mm bodies.

There should be parts in the box to convert to 94mm as well. Mini-z Awd bodies should fit well. I have a brz that fits perfectly with the stock wheels. I bought awd offset wheel set to play around with as well.

Atomic recently released a 90mm conversion which should be great for the shorter wheelbase rally car bodies. Between those, you should have most bases covered.

Don't buy the W chassis ones (I got an enzo)- and although the wheelbase is fine, the rear width is too narrow on the amz chassis, even using the widest offsets.

I found this guide very helpful - http://mini-z-guide.com/bodies.htm

I purchased one this weekend with a radio version. It is on its way to my home right now from Italy. I also ordered the AMZ lexan touring car body for 98mm. Is it out of the box 98mm or smaller/larger? Also ordered the battery and the bumper for lexan bodies at EGR-mart.

Anybody know if the Kopropo EX-1 or the new EX2 are compatible with the Hobbywing unit (receiver/esc) or do I have to go for the gogolap unit with seperate esc?

No, they won't work. You can save the esc. It's 3 spots where the rx and esc connect that you solder a servo plug to. I use a HK orange rx and my own tx, I also don't use the stock servo.

Mikedw, which servo do you use in your car?

I broke the stock digital servo so ordered this one- http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store...5kg_0_06s.html
I haven't received it yet to know how well it works.

I'm trying this one now:

http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store...sec_60deg.html

It's small so I can get the rx on top of it. I had to make sure the wheels were tucked inside the body, without a servo saver I stripped the gears rubbing the wall. I have ~20 batteries on the second one and I'm happy with it.

Currently I'm running the TRP Mosler body. I have a lexan body, just need to paint it and try it out.

I ordered the Atomic LTC body cause I like touringcars. Now I am curious how to paint headlights and taillights since they are not included in the package.

So the EX-1 FHSS is not compatible with the Gogolap rx? I want to use the EX-1 also for my RC powerboats so purchasing the ASF version is no option for me.

If I understand you, you don't have the Mini Z specific EX1. So use a KO KR-413FH Micro Receiver in your AMZ car and whatever rx you want in your boat.
