Is anyone using LIPOs? I've tried searching and all I get is the Maxamps that are like 50$ each. Turnigy has a 2s pack for the MiniT that might work, but it's gonna take 3 weeks to get here.

What brushless systems are you guys fitting in the RS4? I've found a few potential options, but I'm looking for first hand recommendations.

I'm currently thinking Hobbywing QR16 (Quickrun) ESC and Quickrun 2 pole 4500kv motor. Or perhaps one of the Tacon motors.

I am in the same boat as you, but I'm looking at getting this, it's a 4 pole design too

I considered Castle but it's basically twice the price. I've liked every Hobbywing product I've had, so I'm a little biased

I just bought the 2013 Falken Mustang and plastidipped the body matte black to match my real 2010 Mustang GT. I love this little car, it's pretty quick with the 180 motor, I would imagine it's challenging to control it with a 380.

Bought a used one awhile back to get back in the game. This is the one that came with an RX7 body. Converted it to 150mm with 370 motor, new esc, 2S lipo, 2.4 ghz, and 16T metal pinion. First 2 minutes I broke the front CVD. Not sure if the new ones are metal or the cheap plastic but it will break if it's plastic. Found a rare original HPI metal CVD and now it's just insane fast. Too fast to do any real driving. There's nothing you can do at full throttle but go strait. If I touch the steering pass maybe 3 degree, it will spin out. There's way too much torque as well. Half throttle from a stand still I'll spin out. Have to ease into it. I think brushless is just overkill as this 370 already seems like overkill. At that point, it's pretty much for bragging rights.

Has anyone tried the Teambluegroove bodies off of eBay? There are sticker kits available that match the bodies now, so I'm hoping the quality is decent.

I have the beetle and the m3 from TBG... The m3 has a pretty long wb, I'm guessing slightly over the 150mm long wb option. The beetle fits fine over both the falken drift and the ken block version.

Default Tire size?

New to the HPI Micro, but do the new versions have wide wheels on all fours?
Bought rubber tires recently but they are all wide and don't fit the older front rims. Seems to need narrow in front. Very fun car btw!

Thanks! I had a feeling, but don't have a new version.
Spend some serious time scratching my head : )

Thinking about picking one of these up. Looks like fun, easy to fix/customize

Default Fun and cheap on the used market!

I purchased mine used and was able to get parts cheap on eBay.
Rebuilding it was more than half the fun : )
They are fast and take up little room.
I did notice that some parts are hard to come by and a lot of the
aftermarket hop ups aren't being produced anymore. Maybe this will
change now?
HPI doesn't seem to be pushing hard at coming out with parts : (
Would post a few pics but not really sure how...
