Questions?? HELP ME PLEASE!!

i have a duratrax vendetta st which i love. I have a trinity cobalt tri1199 B brushless motor in it which is wicked fast i just recently put dtx cvd's on it steel dif's and the mini lst wheel hub adapters with a nice set of losi magneto wheels with the mini-claw tires, im running a 3s 20c 1050mah rhino battery in it and my motor overheats in like 3 minutes. what should i change in my set up or what should i do differently i want to be able to go out and drive for 10 or 15 minutes. please help with this matter thank you!!!

ps. im not sure how much this matters but the new wheels and tires are a good bit larger than the old stock ones

Or smaller tires, or smaller pinion, or maybe all three.

I would be very surprised if the speedo and motor combo that you are running is rated for 3s(11.1 volts).

Have you temped the motor? Things to try have been said. Smaller wheels, smaller pinion, or you can turn down the motor on your radio using the EPA setting, or 2s lipo instead.

When you increased the size of the tires, that is the same as increasing pinion size. The Vendettas have a limited number of pinions that can be used if yours is still stock. That can be changed with modified motor mount. 3S is a lot of power to put through a mini. You need a smaller pinion and a fan on motor, ESC, or both.

What's the kv rating on your motor? Detta's like lower kv motors because of their gearing. If its anything above 5000kv, you'll probably want to drop down to 2s like the other guys are saying.
