Default Thinking of moving to 1/16, am I nuts?

I bought a great used 2WD slash, brushless, etc. But I don't care for the racing scene much and really just use it to play with my sons at home.

However, they do not like the sheer size of it and the power is overwhelming so they won't touch it.

I bought my son a 1/16 Slash for Christmas and he loves it. I'll admit the thing rips up the yard nearly as well as my 1/10 size, just needs more clearance :P

Would I be nuts to trade up the 1/10 slash for the Mini Summit? I still want some ground clearance and that little truck looks like it moves pretty well to be fun.

Thoughts?

I don't think your nuts. You'll have more fun running with your son if you have the same scale. Plus smaller RCs are a lot of fun in my opinion if you keep them in the right settings. They can even be run in the house if yours is large enough. I have a 1/16th Slash and if I had to do it all over again I would have gotten the Revo. The Summit seems to be the same thing just heavier body and wheels and tires.

Go for it!
