Default Losi 1/16 Mini SCT

I may be late to the party, but searching the forums didn't show up anything about it.

Losi Mini SCT
http://www.losi.com/Products/Feature...dId=LOSB0208BD

Brushless and 2.4ghz is a good start. I have 4 Mini-T's and a Mini-DT. Hopefully this will live up the the Mini history and not the Losi SCT history.

With any luck we can step up from the Mini-T's to the Mini-SCT

Would have been cooler if it was a 4x4 , who else has a 1/16 2WD SCT ?

Would have been nice too give the Slash 4x4 something too run against , or if they made it a 1/18 then the Vendetta SCT or the RC18SCT would have hadd some competition .....

But thats probably why they wanted too bring out a 2WD cause it would be the only one out and might draw in the SC10, Slash, Blitz racers .....

I wonder why its NOT called a Mini STRIKE !

I too was surprised to see that it is 2 wheel drive.

For me though at the mini size I prefer 2 wheel drive, basically less places for mechanical issues. I will be probably be getting 1 or 2.

It just another Mini-T rehash. Its 1/16th because of the extended wheelbase to make it look correct as a SCT.

yawn.

If Losi came out a with a 4wd 1/18th racing platform. That might get my interest. Otherwise they are the new Tamiya.

Not really from what I have seen. Same transmission. Same shocks. Looks like same arms. The only thing different is the longer chassis with the battery down the middle with all the plastic attachments.

Like I said, Tamiya.

Like I said "The only thing different is the longer chassis with the battery down the middle with all the plastic attachments."

So you have a Mini-T with a new chassis layout, towers, tires and rims. Plus a body.

Want more proof:

That is so awesome that it shares a lot of parts with the Mini-T. I have most of those parts laying around as extras. The only thing I don't have is extra chassis so with any luck, I could just buy the chassis, shock towers, body and a few more bits to build my own Mini SCT, or convert my Brushless Mini-DT.

I will have to wait on this one to see it perform first. To me it just looks really fragile in the rear.

So I was comparing the parts list with Mini High Roller and Mini-T.
It seems that the Mini-T parts that are on the Mini SCT are almost an identical list to the Mini-T parts on the Mini High Roller. The SCT is basically a Mini HR with a few changes - chassis, tires, bumpers, body and a few other bits.

The best thing that I have seen is that a metal gear diff is being released with this truck. It looks like the metal gear diff should work in Mini-HR, Mini T and center diff on MLST.

I have wanted a metal gear diff for a long time. If the truck is a flop at least we will get a metal gear diff option.

Hi Guys,

my name is Steve, owner of STRC (www.teamstrc.com) and We are considering producing a line of option parts for the Mini SCT from Losi. Any feedback on what are some common breakage parts or parts that could use a bit of beefying up (or a nice visible bling) feel free to PM me or reply to this thread. Thanks in advance for your feedback

Sincerely,

Steve
