Sure... I've seen a lot people run them. They are fantastic brushed esc's for mini's. Not really good for racers since there is no reverse lock out, but its great for bashers on a budget.
Now days you don't really see too many of them since brushless is ubiquitous. Most people will opt for a sidewinder micro now days since they are only about $10 more and can run both brushed and brushless motors. This is the route I would suggest as well.
