Default Whas up with my mini's motor

so my brother has a 1/18th scale losi mini t and the motor wont work right...everything is fine but to get it to go you have to give it a push start. can anyone tell me whats wrong. is something wrong with the motor or what.

dirty com, dirty end bearings, or motor brush already worn out have those symptoms

Wile E. Coyote nailed it. Mini motors get dirty fast.
