Ok, I have just got off the phone with Robert from SK Motion and he has agreed to supply us with the Motors for the stock class. The Motor will be the Robitronic Power 300. This is a great little motor; we used it all season for the MRL series with absolutely no troubles. It is plenty fast enough with the 5 cell NiMh batteries, and is also inexpensive to keep the cost of stock class down and if anyone would want to purchase additional motors.

Last year there was no Stock Truck class, and I am not sure who all would want the class. I need to get some positive feedback from those who would actually be entering the class. The order for the motors will soon need to be made, and there is not much room in the budget to be ordering a bunch of motors and awards for a class where no one might sign up. I have no problem doing it as long as I can see an interest in it from more than just one or two guys. So please if you want the class, speak up. The handout motor would be the Robitronic Power 300

There was a novice class at last year's ECC which I thought may suit this as well. It wasn't stock. However it gave the chance to people who had never run offroad to give it a try. People did respect it and no one entered as a ringer and cleaned up which was good.
I wouldn't be able to run in a stock class (my trucks are ....not stock, only the driver is ).

This year it would be just a stock class with the Robitronic Motor and NiMh cells. The problem is that most people I have spoke to have told me that almost no one runs brushed motor/NiMh cells in stadium truck anymore. I think that if we did have the 4wd Stock Stadium class, it would be a good class for the novice guys to sign up for, but even those guys prefer running brushless motors and LiPo's because they are easier to maintain than brushed motors and cells. I certainly don't blame them for that, I would too. All I can say is keep the comments coming and we'll see where it goes.

Ahhh yes, the old ball and chain. When you figure out what hack saw cuts through that thing please let me know! I've heard that the power of money and a shopping spree is strong enough to break the chain. Actually, what really works is dragging that thing to a weekend RC event. You let it sit around the the Pits all day complaining about how boring it is and the condition of most RC track bathrooms. That's what worked for me!!
