Default 1/18 Offroad Racing Vehicle Choice?

Hello everyone, I'm going to be getting an 1/18 scare off road vehicle for winter racing this year. The only problem is idk what to get haha. I imagine the majority of people are going to say an rc18 haha but who knows.

I'm going to only be using this for racing so if it's a basher I'm not really looking for that .

Any and all opinions are welcome as i have no idea about 1/18 haha.
Thanks!

where are you racing and what classes will they have? Will you be racing on carpet or dirt? On carpet get the rc18 or m18t for dirt the vendetta st or buggy.

That's just it though, its an open 1/18 so any 1/18 is allowed. So idk if a buggy or stadium truck or anything would be best. And its an indoor off-road dirt track near cinci ohio.

Haha yep everyone says the revo is a great mini, and they do race those where I'm going too, but idk how big the track is yet though and I would rather drive 1/18 on a smaller indoor track than be cramped with a bunch of super fast revos . Unless I do pay them a visit and its a fairly big track I'm gonna see if I can find enough for a revo haha.

To be honest the Mini Revo is only good for bashing. And it does that very well (I have one). But you can't beat the Shark/Vendetta platform. I race on carpet and they are unbeatable. The UK series doesn't have anything other than them winning.

Jae on this site has raced his on dirt tracks so you are best talking to him.

You need to run: Titanium Pivot Balls (completely needed), Novak Mongoose (Turns depends on track) is the best system you can run but if you are on a huge track Neu/Mamba is better.

What about the new caster buggy, or the xray truck? Do they still not compare to a Vendetta?

detta all the way, I read earlier that a member here said his was junk, I have or have had most of the 18th scale vehichals on the market. And I race a detta. They do take some love and some cash to make raceworthy but when you do it right thier darn hard to beat.

Mach Nine i will also be racing up at the dirt bowl me and my son race associated 18T's both are the truck version they hold up fairly well and are pretty fast i dont know if you wanted a 2wd or a 4wd i have never ran a vendetta but they look like they can take a beating and handle well, we also run a mini revo i only have 2 words to describe it "plain sick" if i was new or just getting back into it i would get a mini revo end of story, most of us 18th scale racers that are gong to be racing there have had our 18th cars for a while.

I'm not really sure i want a mini revo or mini slash for racing =/. I was looking at videos on youtube of mini revo and slash races and either the drivers cant drive at all, or the revos and slashes are extremely hard to keep on the track?

On a 1/10th scale off-road track the Mini-Revo does great. On a small 18th specific track its really hard to control and not much fun at all, its just too big. I prefer to just use it for bashing and jumping. My 18 is much faster around the smaller tracks.

In all seriousness, check out the Caster. There have been almost 50 sold on ebay and most people have joined our forums and love the rtr. There are a few guys that are building and testing beta pro kits with great success.
