Micro Recommendations?
i'm thinking of changing the 2nd floor lounge track into an indoor off-road track for kids
but i'll need an r/c model that's around 1/28-1/36th available for them to run with. something not too expensive, RTR, but decent quality. any recommendations?

I think the micro DT would fit you plans... unfortunately
a) they all came stock with AM band receivers... so you probably can do only 6 players at a time and
b) you have the high risk for glitches
c) the stock batteries have very low capacity (150 or 180mAh)... they won't even last more than 5 mins run time.
The solution I did for my micro DT was to convert it into 2.4Ghz and on my micro T I used Lithium Ion batteries.
@jatothai, I have PM for you - inquiry on your dnano business

I think the Mini-T's are really too big for indoor racing unless you have a huge area. I'd go with the Losi Micro Desert Trucks. The DT's are better than the Micro T's because you're able to use a larger selection of batteries due to the larger battery bay. Running lipos they should be more than fast enough for indoor racing but if you feel the need for more speed, go with the Atomic BBv2 rather than brushless if you're on a tight budget.

AM band may work fine. In the US 27mhz has only 6 legal channels but there are ghost channels available. You can have over 24 channels....
You need to test your facility to see if AM glitches before you go full speed ahead....

i'd prefer 2.4 ghz as well... no chance of clashing. i doubt highly kids will have the presence to "clear their frequency" before plopping their car on the track

And way too expensive. You can pick up a Micro T or DT for $90 or less.

I just watched the tour video of Nanotrax. If I ever make it over to Thailand I will have to visit Nanotrax.

Your shop looks awesome!
I think starting with Losi is a great choice. The Losi Micros are really quick in stock form and the handling isn't bad. Plus they're really cheap (compared to a dNano) and they are pretty durable. Just keep lots of extra "tie rods" in stock.
