Well, I removed the stock motor and ESC from my Revo and installed my Quark Roadster 65a ESC along with a Neu 1105 motor I had laying around from a previous project that never got off the ground. This motor is very light weight at about 65grams, which is good considering how high they are mounted in these Traxxas vehicles. Speed seems similar to the stocker as well and runtimes are much better. Now I find myself wanting more power and I am considering either the 1107/1Y (6150kv, 600watts and 89grams) OR the 1110/1.5D (5600kv, 800watts and 113grams). Either of these should match up well with my Quark ESC and Hyperion 2-cell 1800VX Lipo packs which are rated at 35C discharge and 60C burst discharge.
Which one would you guys go for?

Shady3031...Thanks for the offer but I think I will keep it as a backup. It is IMO much smoother than the stocker and the runtimes gotta be close to double as well.
Jae...No heat issues with this motor. After a full pack, it seemed to top out at about 130 degrees F. This is with the stock spur gear and the "speed" pinion that comes with the Revo, which is a 23t. I probably could have gone up a tooth or two on the pinion without too much of an increase in temps but then I'd loose some bottom end grunt. The 1105 peaks at about 400watts, so it'll be interesting to see what she'll do with the 1110 which is rated at 800watts. I'm going to throw a 30t pinion on that one as a starting point.

and you got the same speeds.. from a 7000kv motor as you did with a 3000kv motor..
I believe the stock motor is rated at approx. 4000kv whereas my 1105 is an earlier 5200kv. version. Geared down from the stock 28t pinion to a 23t and yes, the speeds are similar. The stock motor IS a little stronger, but the NEU is smoother, gets much better runtimes and is less than half the weight.
