Just saw your other thread you have a futaba radio... you definately need to reverse the throttle on futaba radios w/ castle esc's. Read you radio's manual and reverse the throttle, and then re-set the radio to the esc, and you should be good

From your video it sounds like your gear mesh is too tight, which would also explain it struggling on accelleration. If you still have problem try your LHS and see if they have someone who can diagnois the issue. I work in a shop and know that some things need to be seen firsthand to figure out.
Nobody? Surely you RcTech geniuses could figure out my problem.
I'm sure most of us can diagnose the problem if we had the truck itself. For the grinding noise i would take apart both diffs and inspect proper build and any worn parts in the entire diff front and back and rebuild and shim according to manual, check all bearings for wear, check for any damage to the pinion and spur, bent shaft and for the mamba i would disconnect the pinion and run in both directions and listen for anything abnormal and calibrate it using beep method.Lots of people new to this can get confused calibrating the mamba esc using the beep method.I had two rc18t's,one stock and the other with a 6800 mamba and both were smooth as silk,i still own and race my rc18r in spec.If you dont have a manual you may be able to download thru associated website. These cars a very simple to work on once you've rebuilt it and become familiar with it.

we will my friend
you might not have something meshed right.. does it roll back and forth by hand smoothly? what size pinion and spur are you using? stock gears - no metal or anything?
trust me, just stick to it, and you will figure all your issues out and have a blast with it

Yeah, Ill give them a call tomorrow and see if I can bring it in to look at while Im in town.

I guess Ill tear it apart and try to find the problem.

Yeah it rolls fine. Im using the smallest pinion that came with the kit I think and yeah all stock gears.
Im going to take it apart soon. Maybe Ill find the problem.
I took it apart, and the front diff was kinda tight. I could twist it with my hands, but there was a little resistance compared to the rear diff. So I loosened it up a bit and put it back together and now it does the same thing it did forward but now in reverse. So I guess I have to tighten the front diff a little and then see what it does from there. Ill report back in the morn.
Quick question, could an overtightened diff be causing the lack or acceleration?

How is the ring and pinion gear? are they tight?
I don't think overtightened diff would cause that noise, and if anything it would help acceleration because there would be no slippage and full power to both wheels.
heck maybe its the motor, those wires all the same color doesn't look right to me, but I could be wrong

For a stock motor tighten the diff till snug but not overly tight, you dont want to risk damage to the diff half with the threads then back out a half turn from snug. With a mod motor back out 1/4 turn from snug, but if you want you can just back out 1/4 turn stock or mod.The soun i hear does sound like to tight of a gear mesh.Take off the spur gear cover underneith the chassis and check very closely to see if there is any play when you move the spur gear and listen closely as you do this,it should be set with very little play.
