I am new to racing 1/18 scale on road.... I am very interested in knowing who makes good stock brushed motors and stock brushless motors. Also I would like to know what are the better speed controls recommended....
If you are looking for a little more speed without breaking the bank try out the losi insane motor, can be had from the lhs for about 20 bucks. it is supplied 2 ways in a single pack and 2 in a pack. it plugs right into the stock esc, same connectors.

Can anyone let me know....
Thanks,

I would recommend running the stock motors and upgrading the ESC to the Tekin B1 or Tekin FX.
Where can I purchase these losi motors! Sounds good... I am just looking to be fast at parking lot racing.... I agree cook the motor and get new ones for that price....
I plan to just use the stock receiver and speed control till I switch to brushless...
Thanks,
Jeremy

For stock class 18R, you run the stock motor. If you change to a faster motor, you will be running modified.
well where i am racing at now im running mod, i was running the mamba 6800 but i wanted more torque so i changed my motor and esc combo... but im looking for a a lil more speed to keep up with the other guys running stock motors and 25c lipos
I am going to start running my car and upgrading everything as needed I was just wondering can mod motors work with the stock speed control for a while... I have 19t mod... and I would love to race that on the 20th
Thanks,
Jeremy

You can't keep up with stock cars and you have a 6800 brushless?
