well, it's not instant forward after reversing
but i think there's more to it....it ran for no more than a minute today, before the esc started blinking red, with a full battery

the esc is probably shot or close to worthless you might have put too much strain and never had time to let it cool down

i mean...i've had this for 3 days or so...and i geared it way down to keep the mechanical torque up and strain OFF the motor. would low TX battery power possibly do this?

Low TX batt = low signal strength = receiver isn't receiving good signal = truck doesn't know what to do. Does the blinking light indicate no signal received? Probably so.

i put in another esc/motor today (mamba comp-x 8000kv..HOLY CRAP it's fast) and it STILL does it. i've got brand new 2100mah rechargeable AA's in teh radio...but the green and red light are on..so imma get some MORE new ones and try that. if it still does it...then i'm getting rid of the junk dsm losi raido and ujst getting another rx and use my fasst/futaba setup with it.

I think it's normal for the green and red lights to both be on with good batts. It's low when the green light goes out (at least my mini-t controller does)

There is typically a short delay built in to the speedo to prevent destructive fwd/rvs slams. reverse to forward delay of more than a second isn't normal though.

well...not only does it pause, longer than i feel it should, it also starts slow and then just SLAMS to full speed.

the mamba is basically and it was installed in an RC18R before and was as smooth as butter.

ok...
brand new 2100mah nimh AA batteries with a full charge
different esc and motor setup

it was cogging horribly and would run VERY slow for a few seconds, stop....run a few more...stop. I could pick it up..and it'd go full speed under no load, though.

the "slipper" was a tad loose, so i'm going to tighten it and see where it gets me.

i thik the junk losi 2.4ghz is crapped out..and i JUST got this thing in trade
