Yeah, the more I look at the specs, the more I like it. Threaded shocks, hex head hardware, etc. Not to mention the gorgeous screen printing on the body work.

Default Motor Temp of the Hobbywing Brushless.........

What have you found to be an accceptable motor temp range of the motor in this RTR kit? I'm real new to the brushless ESC/motor and am learning something each time I run this little buggy.

Default That Truggy Body sure looks..................

sure looks good. Guess I'm going to have to spring for one of those white truggy bodies. Makes the whole 1/18th package take on a larger look.

Default Thanks Youngie for the response, I too will try a ........

indoor carpet track as well as most of the time I want to run the little buggy on a clay/sand hardpack indoor track built for 1/10th and 1/8th electric cars. I think I will head over to Harbor Freight Sales for one thier electric thermometers. Main thing with this little buggy is I want to learn as much as I can about Brushless ESC/motor combos so that I can step up to 1/8th at some time in the future. 90 degrees(grass run) does sound like a cool to moderate temp for this motor.

My F18T RTR handled really well at the track.. for about 4 minutes. That's how long it took to break the stock steering servo. Upgrading is going to be a pain because of the moldings in the chassis and having to come up with an alternative servo saver.

I'm going to be ordering one of these soon and I was just wondering what lipo batteries would fit in the battery tray? Would the same lipos that fit in the mini e revo fit in here too? I was thinking about these:

Thanks all .

Height and length would be fine but width would be a problem on the RTR although you could run it on its side I guess.

The Pro would likely fit it no problem because the chassis is flat aluminum whereas the RTR is moulded plastic.

Looking at buying one of these but have a few questions:
what servos are a direct replacement for the stock one?
can someone from Caster give the actual battery dimensions that will fit the RTR and the Pro?

Seen these questions a few times on here but no answers....

I just ordered my F18 today. When it comes I'll take a lot of pics and shoot some video of it. For $120 shipped, I couldn't go wrong.

The only direct replacement is the AE XP1016 but it isn't an upgrade. I'm trying to convince them to go to a metal gear servo, thus eliminating the need for a replacement.

Battery dimensions on the RTR in the flat position: 105 X 33 X 18

I don't have the specs on the latest version of the Pro yet. I will as soon as the new ones arrive.

Thanks for the info cbr! Anyone modded it to put in something like a HS-82MG? Or is the stock servo good enough?
