Default F18

hey
picked up the Caster F18 the other day..

Happy with the F18 at minute all the electronics work well...
shocks and all the suspension feels great..
and straight out of the box it needs the diffs tightened a little but other than that it handles great as is

and the shocks work great easy to bleed and set up..
looking for a new servo though not sure what my options are??
Cheers

Yep, new ones are confirmed fixed, but you will want to keep an eye out for the diffs. We keep them loose out of the box just in case the perspective customer decides they want to break it in by driving on concrete. We want to make sure that it won't bind up being 4wd...

If you plan on racing on dirt tracks, then adjust accordingly. So far no complaints and we are happy with the final production modifications. Also, there is no anodized green aluminum. All Caster colors....just like the big ones.

Default Please run through this Loose Diff Hakmazter.........

just order one of these a few hours ago and so I will need to tighten up each differential to run the buggy on dirt. Where I am going to run this car, the track is a indoor hard pack red clay/sanded surface. So i should tighten u'm up real good, is that correct? Any other suggestion out of the box. I have gotten a 1600mah LiPo for the buggy.
Thanks

Went on the Caster website and saw the "Pro" version. It does not say whether it's the buggy or the truggy. I would like the Pro truggy, anybody know anything about this.

Thanks.

looking at one of these for carpet racing over jumps. Maybe two.

Will there be setups posted out there from various types of racing (carpet, dirt offroad, etc)

Does the ESC have a lipo cutoff built in?

here is a pic of the pro that Jason @ Maxamps posted on the caster forum:

Thanks.
I spoke to Mike at Caster USA for you and the PRO only comes as a buggy. The reason for that is the body posts. The PRO is made with one body post in front and one in back. The truggy body uses 4 body posts on the RTR that are not on the PRO. I suppose you can make some that would work though. So if you order from the Caster site you will get the PRO Buggy.

We are currently revising the pro kits. We are also blowing out the rtr kits on ebay. We will be a follower and have a knockoff AE with the rtr. As the pro kit, we will be different in the marketplace.

So, smart people will buy the rtr on ebay for $125 buy it now with free shipping. The reason I say this is that you will get all the plastic stuff, extra gears, etc...and the nice hobbywing setup, etc.... for later use in the pro kits.

I decided to sell them at cost so we can focus on pro kits. We had 58 regular kits and sold 3 yesterday.

Might make a good Christmas present also. New FM radios are nice also, but most people at rctech are racers.....

It comes with batteries and a charger also...

so you think it would be better to buy the rtr, then buy the pro? i cant decide what to do. i just was looking at hobbycity and all the stuff added up to 130 shipped if i buy the pro and then get all the electronics for it. but i wont have to buy anything but lipos if i buy the rtr.

Hi everybody. I just ordered one of the RTR F18T's off E-Bay. My son and I already race an RC18MT and soon an RC18B but when I saw the features for the price on that F18.. there's no way I could pass it up. RTR with brushless and FM radio for a hundred and a quarter?! I almost bought two... I might yet if I like the first one.

You should love it. Had my RTR out today for awhile and had the dog chasing it all over the yard. He got ahold of it too LOL. Body is still good though! Even with the grass not too short and me beating on it everything held up great!
