Default 18R adapters for 1/12 foams

I hope someone can help me out here. Someone was selling adapters for the 18r or 18t so that you can run 1/12 front foams on all four corners. Can anyone direct me to this person or where I can get these. Thanks.

Default ?

1/12 front have no hexes nor does the rear, you would have to use the foam only on modified assoc rim.

Default 1/12 foams on 1/18th trucks

I remember that thread. It was in 2009.

I went back and looked for it but couldn't find it. It had three or four pages on it. The fellow made an adapter that fit in a 1/12 front wheel that had no bearings installed. The adapter was a "press fit". The outside of the adapter was knurled (spell?) so it held tight to the wheel and it was through drilled so it could be bolted to the axle. The drive side of the adapter was notched for the drive pin.

The photos of the adapter looked good, a professional looking machining job.

Sorry for not having more info.

I'm the guy that made them. I have a few sets made up that I will sell but not many.

Last guy that had me make some vanished once they were made, so once I sell the ones I have, I will not make more unless I get a pre-paid bulk order (15 piece minimum) to account for machine setup time and materials/shipping costs. If a couple guys want to get together and get them, that will work fine.

I will need to know whether they will be used on MIP CVD axles or Associated stub axles since the dimensions are slightly different.

Send me PMs if interested. Already got the PM from tadashi.

The adapter I make fits in the bearing hole on a 1/12th pan car front wheel.

It is a very tight press fit. Once the tire wears out, you press out the adapter and use it in a fresh wheel/tire combo.

Lots of compound choices in 1/12th tires.

I currently use his adapters with Jaco double-pinks on my 18T. Let's just say it's a whole 'nother animal now

I had accidently pressed one of the wheels in slightly crooked a little, so the adapter wanted to slide out a bit but still didn't slip in terms of rotation. I pulled it halfway out of the rim and added a bit of CA, then set it back on fully and it fixed the problem. No fault of his adapters at all, that was completely my stupid doing. Just a tip if you do purchase them.

I highly recommend giving them a try if you can!
