Default RC18 540 1/10 Scale 540 Motor

Working On a 540 Motor Mount for the RC18
The problem I'm having is the Pinion gear is really far from the spur gear.. So I need a big Pinion gear...

hehe.. nahh.. its actually cool seeing some one converting the motor to 540

that's gonna be hell of a project though

when u finish that car u should make a video of it running

with 540 motor that will be AWESOME!

If you run 3S, then that motor may be able to balance some of that uneven weight out. I just don't know how the drivetrain is gonna like it. Any rough terrain may be too much for it

Well being it's gonna be on a RC18R Im looking smooth surfaces or maybe on a track. Will definetly do a video.

The problem I'm having right now is the biggest pinnion gear I could find with the right 48 pitch was a 36 tooth. It's on order....
I will need to redo or rethink the mount

If it were me, I'd just put a belt between the pinion and spur. Look for a short belt like on any 1/10 scale touring car.

lol Chain drive I like it! I like it! It has a mean ring to it..
Chain Drive RC18 lol but again I wouldnt know where to get the parts...

I'm putting the belt and third gear idea on the side for now..

I just ordered these... Some one sent me a link yesterday

Ok so the I got the 1:10th scale 540 Motor Mounted on to the RC18.
I switch out motor from the traxxas stinger motor to the Kyosho 540 G20.
Here is a pic more pics coming soon.
