I have similar problem with my 1/18.
-no joy on toe-in
-no joy on front suspension setup
-no joy on chamber adjustment
-no joy changing the rx and tx set.
I ditch HITEC HS 81 and HS 82MG and go for HITEC HS 225MG (mighty servo).
Put that one without servo saver. Done straight line.
1. You might also need to open your servo case to see if the potentiometer (the 3 wire steering sensor) is loose. Highly possible.
2. Servo maybe be glitched by radio or static. Try lift your truck in the air to clear your wheel from touching the ground. On your tx pull the throttle. See if your steering move by itself. If it does check any loose wire that causes static. Check if you're using brushed motor due to worn out brush. No go? Change servo.
3. Make sure your truck/car have both left and right side weight balanced. Else it sways.
