its not all the time. i run 2s single, parallel, 3s single, parallel. and on occasion 4s.

my question was can i do it on the sidewinder, not should i do it on the sidewinder
The Sidewinder is only rated to 3S. It might take 4S, but you're prob looking at disabling the onboard BEC like is done with the MM when its pushed above its recommended voltage. I did this on a MM with a CC BEC to run 4S. Then I started reading about CC BEC failures where the batts full voltage was sent to the rx an servos when it failed costing you not only the BEC, but the rx and any servos in the system. Stopped running it that way. If Iwere interested in running it again, it would be with a diff BEC (Kool Flight prob).

Haven't read of anyone trying this yet with a Sidewinder.

I have limit my out travel a lot, im using 4mm internal limiters in each shock, and it is real good now | I have not tested the truck on track, but the feeling is way better then shorten the pushrod off insted of limiters.

Im running 50 front and 80 rear and i must say it feels REAL good. i have very little out travel now..and i have cut the outer row on front wheels..

Hey Thomas can you put your whole set-up in one post for everyone to see. Like a set-up sheet.. I think so far you have the best set-up for this thing..

so whats the difference between the two then?
I could be wrong here, but I believe all of the CC ESCs are programmable with the castle link. The only difference between the Mamba 25 and the Sidewinder 1/18 is that the latter is an updated version of the former.

ok because i was thinking that it was 3s max because of the 4600 and 5700 motors rpms not what the actual speed contoller can handle.
seeing that ppl run 4s on traxxas esc i figured our little motor could handle it. its not like i'm constantly running 4s but i don't wanna fry anything if i would here and there.

and for the record, i am talking 1/10 esc not 1/18

Just get some velcro and put a strip on each battery door,, works wonders and you dont have to fiddle around with those tiny body clips

Playing around with my program and just did a small sheet.

As i have said erlier, i have not tested my truck het with 4mm limiters in all shocks. i have app the same out travel now like i had erlier with short pushrods, but the progressive will change, so the limiters i think it will be good. a lot less roll for the chassi anyway.

I bought lipos from HobbyKing labelled as 105mm and they don't fit..

I believe 100 - 102 is the max.. I have no way of measuring tho..

I have a question for Thomas P, jnfweld, yoshgixxer, or anyone else running Kyosho Buggy Rears. Will these rims fit the hex like the stock ones or will I have to modify the rims or car in some way? If i do what will I need to do it? If you could provide a link to any additional parts needed that would be extremely helpful.

Just for reference Im talking about the Kyosho Buggy Rears W5028W. I'd post a link but the forum won't let me.

I'm pretty new to all this and I do my best to find my own answers but I can't seem to find a product description or picture of the back of these wheels.
