I did the opposite. I raced it and saw what broke and got better bits & hop ups.

Im not sure yet, on carpet it wil be better with slipper, im sure of that...i usually race 2/4wd el buggy, and have a minimal sliper on those, it works real good.. for some offroadtracks loose ones or grippy i think the mid D will be the best option.

For a 4wd car the slipper is to be gentle to the tranny...thats the big diff from a 2wd, that the slipper is there for traction also...

If its not too big I'll be racing on carpet. If it is I'll try the local 1/8 nitro clubs, which are outdoors. Guess it will be useful to have both.

I drove my eRevo for the first time today on my backyard track.

I've been running a 2wd B4 on it, but unless the track is watered/groomed it's too much work. I've tried the RC18 and Vendeta thing too, but they're just too small for "real" dirt. So I got this eRevo having high hopes to be the "perfect car" for my track.

After a pack through it (two 2S TP 30c 1800 LiPos) I can say that this car exceeded my expectations big time!! I just need to beef up the oil weight and call it a day.

I ran it at 50% throttle EPA too. I'm shocked anyone is putting 3S and beyond in this thing. It's almost uncontrollable with 2S. At 50-60% EPA on my track, it feels super nice though. Maybe 80-100% on a big track guessing.

The only other mod I ran are GooseBumps and chucked the stock tires. So TIRES (for non-bashing), BATTERIES, and OIL is all I feel this car needs out of the box. Nice job Traxxas!! So stoked I'm buying the Slash too.

On my Slash I put some Revo rear springs on and WOW what a difference. Just the rear I had the problem with. Left the front alone.

Ok guys....had some time on it, and like all other mini's, you're dickin wth the shocks constantly. I hope this isn't the case with this car. This car handles and drives 10 times better than those shocks were designed for.

So....where do I get way beefier springs? 50wt. is not nearly enough oil either. I forsee at least 80-100wt, but that is simply compensating for bad shocks.

Does anyone know what dif oil translates to in shock oil? I have some 2000wt. Is that like 100wt in shock oil? Close?

Anyhoo....with a killer shock set up this car is going to drive like a 1/10 scale. Not there yet though. I have high hopes though.

What would happen if I run a mod .5 pinion gear instead of the 48p?

I used some fuel tubing to limit my shocks to keep the car stable. I am using 75 rear 80 front.

Guys....I made either a dorky move or genious discovery.

I accidentally put my shocks in backwards and the shock cap hits the rocker arm and acts as a limiter. I tried it with all four and the car sits at "arms even" and doesn't have that spongey up and down feel as much.

The car for sure sits lower. I'de have to convert to turnbuckles in the back though, cuz it's leaning in a tad. I suppose I may need some aluminum shock caps in the future if this pans out. We'll see.

It drives more planted on the track, but bottoms more in the rear. Definitley not as bouncy though, and is a work in progress.

This thing has serious 1/10 scale performance potential, we just all need to brainstorm on getting it there.

Got my 2200 Flightmax packs in today. Just snipped off the TRX connector on the ESC and soldered up some Deans. I'm glad to see the Flightmax packs already have Deans connectors on them. I really hate soldering.

Got a series connector on order too.

I did that same thing on a full size revo. It tended to tear that end out at the rocker.

I cut a small piece of fuel tubing and put it inside the shock on the shaft in front of the piston. This limits the shocks travel "shortens the travel" which prevents the truck from lifting up on power. It also lowers ride height.
