Truth be told, Noone is for sure on any price. It's speculation at this point. Hobby shops have part lists but no pricing yet.

So should we speculate that the preorder price is the same as the price after Everyone starts selling them?

My initial guess was $250-$300 so it can't be far from $300. Even if it goes a bit lower, don't see it going for less than $275 based on the MSRP:

7008 1/16 slash vxl $490.00 retail
7108 1/16 e-revo vxl $510.00 retail

My guess 250-275. But it may take a bit to get there. I would guess that the Slash version will be less. Mainly based on perception.

$275 if you use this coupon at amainhobbies.

DPPMAR925

or $250 if it fact it gets dropped to $275. Than you would be right on the money with $250.

P.S. The coupon will not work with the back order but get something over $250 that is in stock and paste the coupon and you get $25 off. So if we wait until it gets released $25 off.

I don't know about that, but the sales of brand new stuff in the RC market appears to be slow.

I'm hoping that if this is the case with the new two from Traxxas then Traxxas will react quickly and offer cash rebates to encourage those who are considering buying and reward those who buy at introduction. This way everyone wins.

Hey I'm all for it and heck I hope the price goes down to $150 but the matter of the fact is that even if it does sell for $300 I will buy it. If it sells for $150 well now I have $150 for a stack of lipos.

That's about the truth of it expresso. As a group we want the cool new stuff no matter what the cost. If we wait it would probably be cheaper but we won't. Video games are similar. It's economics 101.

Hey do you guys think the 1/16 Slash is going to flip over easily like the 1/10th Slash. I'm debating if i should get it. What's keeping me back is that i used to have the 1/10th Slash but i sold it because it flipped over so easily it was ridiculous. I'm thinking this won't flip over as easily because the entire chassis is about 1/3 lower than the 1/10th Slash's (In relation to their appropriate scales that is).

I would think it would be more stable due to 4wd but then again it is as fast and depending on driving habits it may traction roll just as much.

I emailed Traxxas to get the battery box size, and here are the full results for batts you can use: All Rc18T batts, they will fit!

The specs are:

Length: 101.9 mm (I'm figuring that the batts that are 102 mm will fit, with little or no mods)
Height: 20.3 mm
Width(Thickness): 35.5mm.

These seem to be the best nihm batts that will fit: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXMEY5&P=7

And the best lipo batts that will fit.....and only $14!!! : http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...idProduct=6307
