Traxxas will be releasing a 1/16 Slash and E-Revo, with the option for a Venlineon system for about $320.

Its easier to buy a better ARTR and put a Novak Mongoose in it, or the Mamba system.

the vendetta with the mongoose is dialed so is the rc18 factory team or the rc18 exotek conversion. although if you can get a good deal on the mini inferno and find the km concepts conversion thats the dialed set up imo...

the castle is cool but its sensorless and cogs. plus if you want the 1/16 set up the mamba is kinda small and gets really hot in the bigger cars. my opinion the mongoose is nicer and better its motor is bigger so it doesnt work so hard to move the car.

if i had to do it all over again i'd get the rc18 exotek or detta they are cheaper in the long run. my mini is gonna be almost a 1000$ when im done although i have enough parts to build 3 or 4 of them

mini inferno

the inferno is great but need the km conversion to be great and that conversion is hard to find

the castle creations esc... 10th scale sidewinder mated with a neu motor.. 1105,,1107 or 1110 series would be ideal for any application.. each motor more powerful than the next and offers a cooler operation and greater gearing options..

http://www.castlecreations.com/produ...rs/nm1100.html

i personally use the 1105/1.5y in my vendetta ST.. and will be using the 1107/1y in the traxxas whenever they come out..

thats cool and a great idea to do that way you can use 2 2cell lipos in the revo/slash. but im not a fan of sensorless systems. they cog and their is just something that doesnt feel right about it. of course thats my opinion. someone should come out with a deeper can like the neu thats sensored.

I asked novak why they didnt make their motor larger for the added torque,,,,, their answer was,,that they needed something that the masses could run,,, supply and demand...

not too many ppl are running vehicles that require a torque heavy motor.. and for those that are,, we have sensorless options.. but it would be nice to have sensored 400 cans.. or atleast a 370 long can

any cogging that I may get is usually caused by radio interference...

im part of that dying herd that have not gotten the 2.4ghz radio

im very pleased with it...

Cogging is not a radio issue, it's a non-sensored one. If you want a sensored motor check out the Novak Mongoose system. The guys that have them love them.
