RC18B and RC18T are almost the same besides the tires, body and Spoiler.
I have a RC18B, they let me race along side with the RC18T as long as i get the same tires.

It was probably my Cheapest RC Fun i ever purchast LOL These lil things are wicked Fun to drive and can handle quite a beating.

You also have to see what ppl are willing to get more RC18 or MiniZ. My area has both, but the RC18 sems to be more liked since it still gives you that Hoppy RC look where the MiniZ well dont look much like RC (But dont get me wrong these things are fun too and have tons of hop ups)

RC18 can handle Onroad, indoor, Foam, out door, Dirt so this platform is more versatile.

i understand what u mean when u say the rc18 looks more hobby level than the mini-z. the mini-z is limited in many ways because it is harder to upgrade certain things without having to modify things. the rc 18 has seperate electronics wich opens up the different parts u can use. ill probably go with the rc18t with foams and a mamba. also would a sr 3100 rx (standard dsm2 rx) fit properly inside of a rc18t. thanks for the help ill post what i get.

Yes it does fit, the stock receiver is about the same size of the SR3100.
Personally run the DSM SR3500 at the moment.

But i will be trying to get a SR300 or SR3001 for it, its the same size if not bigger than the SR3500 and fits fine also.

yeah the miniZ looks limited but is not limited in parts. http://www.atomicmods.com/
Check these guys out they locally in my area the live and breath MiniZ.
It has as many option parts as a regular RC. They can be as fast as a 18th scale onroad.
Its just all the parts are made for MiniZ and just MiniZ cant use it on anything else.

I was debating myself to get one or not
but i ended up with the RC18B earlier this week
and i dont regret getting the RC18B,
it can be driven anywhere outside inside on grass.

iPearl - do you race at M&M or HICRC? If not, you should go check it out. Watch Cristian lap faster than the 1/18 with his Mini-Z on a big RCP track.

I am getting my stuff together to start to, wanna get into the RC18R.
Saw christian race too, Not saying in any way the MiniZ is bad.
But being onroad only or indoor only and trying to get a module 2.4 or AM shooed me off MiniZ for now.

Hence the link above LOL Its has lots of option parts. The miniZ has as many parts as a reg based RC of a bigger scale. Edit: And i knew i saw that icon somwhere before http://www.reflexracing.net LOL for you ruf =D
wheelie check out that site another Houston based place that breathes MiniZ.

Did somebody say grey scale?

Great car. I have seen these in person and they are cool, but I still prefer mini-z. Very competitive.
