I have the Exotek chassis and have run it with both the Mongoose esc (Installed sideways) as well as the Tekin RS.

I think that this would be a tight squeeze on a narrowed M18 chassis.

I used double-sided tape and it worked fine.

Here is a better pic of the RS

You are right, it is big but it is easier to fit than the Mongoose esc due to wiring.

I was able to fit the Tekin RS with all electronics flat on the R3 chassis(Spektrum Micro receiver, Airtronics 9?6?1...can't remember the number, Goose 10.5, Thunder Power 1320). It was a tight fit, almost too close for comfort - but it works. So far the Tekin has held up great - the Goose ESC is definitly not as robust. I've currently gone back to the Mamba for the M18s. ...BUt I always go back and forth...

All flat, regular footprint. Brushless motor is the Novak Three-80 10.5 (shortened it by saying goose...). Sorry for the confusion. The car is currently electronic'less as I moved everything to the offroad cars for this weekend's Offroad Nats at RCMadness.

The only way it was going to fit was because of the airtronics servo which has a tiny footprint. Otherwise forget it.

I might put it back together for the last MRL race - however I'll be running SR3's there most likely. After the race this weekend I can pick them apart and reline them up for a quick pic.

Oooooo...That would be far. Starting point being Ottawa, Canada...Making it down to Enfield is about 6.5hr, then Maryland for the MRL is 9hr. While I'd love to go (love micros...), I doubt I can justify a long haul like that. I'd have to fly that and that's a little out of the budget at the moment. What race is that out of curiosity? (one never knows!)

IFMAR World Championships 1/10 IC Track
ROAR Bloc - Location: Houston, Texas; USA

And the local shops and Factory driver are going to be trying to introduce 1/18th to the scene so there will be some Local events running with 18th scale there too.
