Default Vendetta ST Carpet Setup Onroad (no jumps)

Looking for setups for the Vendetta ST only for carpet without jumps.

Do you guys use internal limiters in your shocks or can you use the buggy shocks on the truck?

Ive got the Novak Mongoose 8.5, blue springs in front, green in rear, swaybars...

usesmall o rings as limiters or fuel tubing cvds/bones level

you want ball diffs and adjust the front for more grip than the rear.....
If the rear has more grip then the squat whenaccelerating will lift the front end andyou will lose control. If you dont have ball diffs pack the gear diffs w grease to achieve the same effect. (lighter in rear heavier in the front)

you may want to try a heavier shock oil as well....(50w)

ive got ball diffs in both ends and 50W all the way around. Even with the blue springs on front the car leans hard on the front outside tire...obviously, lowering the car will help just wasnt sure if anyone else was doing it. THe buggy shocks look like the right lenght to do the job but they are smaller diameter shocks.

Shorten the springs or make a taller shock tower, to drop the ride height.
Internal limmiters will cause the truck to sit at the top of the suspension travel. That's not the best way to set-up. Add anti-sway bars of course...
I'll have some new shock pistons available soon. Mine are made from Delrin w/2 holes and less blow-by. I was running 70 wt with two holes plugged, now running 37.5 wt.

ive cut a couple coils off the shocks. If I cut more off that will basically have the same effect as putting in the internal limiters wont it as the weight of the car pushes down forcing the shock shaft up into the body until the spring "catches" and supports the weight.

Many are putting internal limmiters in their shocks without cutting springs. This pre-loads the spring and sets ride-height by virtue of the shock length. Having your vehicle sit at the top of suspension travel eliminates half the suspension action (not good). your car should settle into the spring, when you set it on the surface..
