Default KMRC chassis / Mini Inferno "center" Diff help please.

hey guys....

I posted this question in one of the mini inferno threads , but since not that many people drive the lil' buggy any more , i thought my question may get buried into message board outer space!

I have a little MI truggy with the Atomic front and rear diffs , all bolted up onto a KMRC chassis. I can find every single part i need for this thing , except for the center diff. Since the entire center diff housing and center diff it'self came with the KMRC chassis.....where could i get parts to rebuild and maintain this center diff? I have read it's a 1/10th sized center diff and is supposed to be more durable than the smaller ones.....but sooner or later , i'm going to need to replace , the diff balls , slipper pads , ect.....and i don't have any idea where to get these parts.

One other question.....since i know a lot of you guys ran this with the KMRC chassis....did you ever find another brand of center diff parts that would work with this diff?

I just need to find a place to buy rebuild kits and stock up on them.

Thanks guys!!

I don't have mine anymore but, I don't recall the kmrc kit coming with a center diff. Only the main gear and slipper.

That is what i meant.....thanks you guys. I just wrote them to see if they still had stuff for the center slipper.....not center diff hehe. It makes it kind of a pain to have to only be able to use 'their" center slipper stuff though.....and since they really don't sell to much of the MI chassis stuff any more....i'm hoping they don't discontinue it.

just an FYI on the spur gear; If you are in a pinch you CAN use mini-t spur gears.GPM makes white delrin spurs for the mini-t up to 65t. The only thing you have to do is drill 2 holes for the screws that attach the spur to the slipper plate.I had no issues running the 65 with the standard kmrc kit for the buggy, but later upgraded to the center housing for the ST because it can accept a 70t spur. also on the slipper pad, I also cut a new one from a B4 slipper pad. The action was much smoother than the kmrc slipper pad.

WOW man....thanks for the info! I have one of the MI ST KM-RC setups i got last summer , and never did get a motor and ESC for it.....never have ran the thing. Since i bought it used from a guy on here last summer , and never ran it....last night was the first time i tore into it.

The center diff was about 99% locked! The pad had little to no wear on it at all. I backed the slipper nut out towards the end , but that little spring they include with it....super STRONG! I won't know if it'll slip at all until i get my new motor and esc.....but there is really nothing to this little center slipper at all. Very easy to work on.

As far as the KM-RC chassis goes....did any of you guys have parts that may wear out a little quicker than the others? Such as the CF steering ackerman , Center spur gear , maybe that little tiny blue rear center dog bone , cracked chassis parts ect....??

I actually just bought another fully modified KM-RC MI from a guy on here to.

I guess i have this addiction with these little Mini infernos HAHA!!

Default kmrc

i have raced the mini inferno for a year. i kept breaking the front gear box holder. kmrc should have built an all in 1 graphite chassis all the way thru.

i took the stock chassis and redrilled some holes and have the drivetrain from the kmrc mounted on. works better and that front gear box holder doesn't break anymore.
