Default Brushless recommendations for LST2

Looking to get some recommendations on brushless systems for my Mini LST2.

I am wanting to get quite a bit of speed to compete with the mini revo when it comes out.

I have tried the Xcelorin 6000kv system and had some problems. When it was working it was maybe as fast as the stock motors on the top end.

Everyone says great things about the Mamba but how does Tekin, Novak, etc. compare.

Also what is a good balance for top end power and torque. 6000kv was not very impressive.

I would try the Novak Mongoose , it has a larger can 380 motor and is sensored for smooth low speed operation .

The Castle system is good too but its a little small IMO for the MLST2's weight .

That is what I am leaning towards but I heard of some problems with their ESC.

Also what Novak system would get me close to 40mph. That is what the Mini Revo is supposed to get up to.

My friend has smoked two Novak Mongoose ESCs in his RC18t running a 2s Lipo. I'd steer clear of those.

The best motor I've ever had/seen in the MLST2 was the Wraith7k but you can't find those anymore.

That losi 6k motor on a 3s lipo should be quite fast. Something is wrong with your setup.

If I was going to do it all again (and I might since I smoked my Quark esc) I'd put a HobbyWing EZRUN 35Amp ESC in there with the Losi 6000kv motor running on 3s.
