Its not going to be as fun as you think when you have to take apart the tranny every 3 minutes in order to replace the stripped out diff gears.

Don't get me wrong, it will be a very cool mod. But, unfortunately, the Mini-LST differentials are not built to handle that kind of power (they even have problems handling the stock motor/esc combo.). If you were to do the mod just make sure you have plenty of spare parts and plenty of time to work on those diffs.

After doing the MLST 540 1:10th scale motor mod I thought this was the next step

Here is the video of the my mlst with 540 motor. Check out the speed runs near the middle of the video crazy fast.

I love this kind of stuff! Now do the one handed thing!

Next you can strap a jet engine to it!

You gotta post a first run vid with that brushless setup! Hell, I'll hold the freakin camera!

This thing kinda reminds me of this;

Savage with a weed-whacker motor strapped to it's back!

Dude.. The pic I got on here is a MLST with a
Traxxas 1:10th scale VXL BRUSHLESS MOTOR..
So I know it's got more power then a 1:18 scale brushless motor...

And yup it's on the heavy side. because of the battery I'm using.
The do however make 3C Lipo batteries that would fit in the MLST battery
holder.. I just have the money to buy a smaller 3c lipo right now so I gots to use what I got..

But trust me the VXL brushless motor can handle the weight and more...

The current 540 MLST video that I have is just a brushed 540 motor. Which Is as fast or faster then a 1:18th scale brushelss motor.. but definetly has much more torque / low end. No worries about gearing up or down and over heating...

Now the jet engine MLST .. lol will probably way a ton.. And um much faster then any RC Car.. lol

Ohhhh no no no, that's not mine. Another guy that joined the forum just to ask about diffs for the thing, I guess, cuz it was a while back and he hasn't posted anything else.

Saage diff with hellfire gears? Is this possible

I'd like to see that thing run as well.

Is this the 1st or 2nd edition Mini LST? The Mini LST2 has metal diff gears front and rear.....might be worth looking into....
