nice try,but tweeked real bad with a 1/10th motor on one side, btw can't see any use other than going straight till it breaks something. . . that seems to be the only purpose for such a mod.

Don't get me wrong ,i'm not intrested in Uberspeed vehicles unless they can make a turn with proper traction.Your vehicle is intresting for the only purpose of testing matherials.
If would be intrested in breaking the sound barrier i wouldn't be wasting money in a Mlst (mine cannot take a turn without popping the rear tires, and uses a 6000kv 300 size short can motor) but a Bolink dragster would certainly take you the goal.
Btw those lipos up there are very easy to be punched or hurt if the truck flips over.
Every vehicle has is purpose and limits.

I got the MLST2 Metal gears front and rear shimmed center diff locked with a glue gun..

It's been holding up pretty good.

The lipo will be covered by the body.. did you watch my video 540 mlst you'll notice the body over the lipo...

And yes it is an intresting project... I can go insanley fast but when I need to make a turn I will, let the throttle out a little and slow down like a sports car you still have to slow down when turning..

Future plans for my 540 mod is Get a new e-flite 3cell that I had which went bad, used it on when I had the mamba Crazy MLST wheelies (see video). This lipo will fit in the battery tray so it wont be so top heavy. Then I will get the wide track conversion kit for more stability..

So I think with a smaller lipo mounted lower, and the wide track I should be more stable with the turns and still have the low end power for grasss and not over heat the motor but still have top end speed when I want it... with out changing my gears.....

Lots of benefits of having a 540 motor in the mlst... and ways to make it more stable..

The question my friend is will the diffs handle all that power...?
And so far.. with the front and rear shimmed.. center locked.. It's all good.

Dude thats insane... with all the resources thunder power has, I'm surprised they could only reach 83 mph with a 1/8 scale and thats the wolds record
(their goal was and still is 200 mph ther working on it). I guess I would be lucky if my 1:18 scale mini lst hits 40 mph.. ohh read more looks like they reached 97mph in 2008.

Nope I'm serious.. On a track you might slam into the wall if you dont slow down. besieds part of it is knowing your car and how fast it can go and how fast you can take a turn. Then making adjustments, be it how you drive or adding hardware.. lol you got a lot of comments what set up are you running?

Sweet dude.. So how far along have you gotten....? I'm sure it's doable but your gonna deep pockets for testing and research.

I'm not looking to reaching 100mph. I'm just looking at a 540 motor and if its a viable option for the MLST.

Well of course it's not a viable option, but it's sure as h3!! fun to watch!!!

Where's the new vid?

I''ve got a micro T that does 100+++! It's all in choosing the right sized flux capacitor!

Sports cars DO NOT slow down for corners, dump trucks do.
You wouldn't be interested in my set up since it's for actual racing.
