Yeah the 25 and Sidewinder ESC are basically the same thing, just a different sticker. Do yourself a HUGE favor and get the Castle Link and update the 25 to the latest firmware (1.20 I think?). I ran the same combination even before I updated mine and it worked fine.

Yes, I used the Mamba 6800 motor with the 25 esc with no problems at all.

You can buy the motor itself at www.towerhobbies.com or on castle's website.

Tom, people don't mind linking stuff (if they have the link handy) - but otherwise it means they are the ones having to look things up for you. You really need to make more of an effort, instead of always asking, or try harder.

Hmm... Well wfo does have a point. We all get lazy, but if you couldnt figure out to look on the Castle or even Tower (hello google) website, then maybe this isnt the hobby for you, as it does take some exploration. And this is even after they linked you the 6800... Kudos to the guys that helped you out, as they are bigger men then I...

I agree, hard to find stuff is one thing but easy stuff - come on!

I am starting to wonder if the guy even has ANY rc cars at all, because all of his questions are sort of basic info stuff and it's like all he's doing is asking weird questions and requiring people to provide him with links for all of it.
