That is why I suggested to remove the shocks to see what kind of movement the stock set up has. Removing the shocks will let you know if it is the shocks limiting travel or the arms, dogbones, etc....

I guess when I posted, I had the differences between solid axle and IFS going through my head and should have posted it that way, but what I meant was, you could potentially modify the arms to swing as far as you want, and use incredibly long shocks, but at some point the whole dogbones/axles CVs and even steering links, thing is going to become the limiting factor.

You can keep the shocks, and just find a point on the arm closer to the inside toward the chassis to connect it to....

i put it on for sale to see if there was even any interest, i am still thinking about how to make this a crawler, without expensive changes, its not worth spending another 80 bucks on when i can sell it and get the crawler. i am trying to make sketches of how to move things on the truck, while still keeping as many stock parts as possible.

another reason for putting it in for sale is to see what it is worth, since it is used... (2 times) it isn't worth as much as new. how much it is worth used determines the budget.

There is no such thing as budget RC.
Borrowed my MRC tires, and hex adapters.....the Raminator uses smaller axles as well but not noticeable when the nut is snugged against the rim. But that is about max stock suspension with the other 3 tires on the ground still.

i was thinking about going somewhat like the MRC chassis, give the drive dogbones articulation a try, give a lot more ground clearance. pull the motor and electronics up.
