Vendetta ST. Far stronger, the RTR system is better than the RC18MT. I have both and I quickly replaced the AE with the Vendetta.

Not sure if you get the Factory Team version over there. In my FT version I got the steel diff's, and I'm using a 10.5 Mongoose box stock and its perfect.

My brother is using the RTR version with my problems. I replaced a wishbone for him in under 30 secs. Maintenance is so easy. You might want to buy steel diffs if you want brushless though.

durability, and maintenace I'd give the nod to the detta ST
speedwise, they're pretty similar as are most rtr's

having owned both, personally I'd get the ST

the mlst really imo is a different vehicle, a true monster truck, while the other two are more like truggies.
less moving parts and pieces = less chance of things going wrong

I've had them both and I like the RC18MT more. The Detta is great once you get CVD's and Ball Diffs but by the time you get that you could buy a Mamba for the RC18MT because it will handle it stock. They both handle 10 foot jumps pretty good but the Detta would bend the rear shock tower. The RC18MT keeps breaking turnbuckles.

My brother raced his Vendetta ST box stock (over 15ft jumps, which he didn't take well) and didn't brake one part all night. Whereas I used my older RC18 and broke the shock towers and turnbuckles.

Its worth getting the Detta with CVD's and Diffs (like Frozen said) and the Novak Mongoose system if you want to race.

the only way you can bend a rear shock tower is to slam land on the wing or run over the ST with a full-sized car

a mamba system would make short work of shredding the stock plastic RC18 dogbones too

My RC18MT is holding up great to the Mamba 6800 and I'm running stock diffs and dog-bones. I just need to get some stronger turnbuckles. I broke a rear shock tower and got the RPM ones to fix that problem. The Detta ST one would bend from a simple 5 foot jump.

Im aware of frozen from another forum, he must be bored to be here, and he's the last guy I'd want advice from about anything because he's not only the "master of all those that bash" but he's also the master of crash&burn and the king of breakage...lol..

DO NOT heed a word this dude says!

Stock AE dogbones are more then capable of handling a bl system.
And, yes, you can bend the shock towers on the Vendetta very easily as they are alloy, but the beauty of alloy is it usually doesn't snap so you can bend it back.

Ultimately, you should go with whatever is easiest for you to get parts for locally. It's no fun waiting for a replacement part in the mail.

oh yea, take this dude's word on everything

saying ANY plastic dogbone is better than any other? it's still plastic!
and its still beyond me how you can bend a shock tower on an ST with the body on
