Default Just got an M18T

I just purchased an M18T with the pro power pack to race at a local offroad indoor carpet track. I'm curious as to what else I will need? I bought 3 1300mah Lipo packs, Xray hex adapters, Jato foam TC wheels.

I don't need a brushless or anything like that. I've been racing for over 20 years, so on a small track like this, I think it's skill over power. I'm just curious if there is anything that WILL break. Do I need an aluminum driveshaft, or CVDs? The option diffs, or shock towers?

You might end up buying the aluminum cvds. The stock plastic were only really meant for nothing beyond the 370 silver can motor. I realize you said you got the power pack, but even the lipos additional boost will put more strain on them. If your not jumping it, you can possibly get away without, if you are, you should think of investing in the aluminum or even the hudy steel universals.

Upper arms break fairly easily.

In my opinion the aluminum cvd's are a waste as they bend and wear out easily. The steel ones though are great and seemingly last forever.

Thanks guys! I'll keep my eyes open for a deal on steel CVD's. I don't hear much about the M18T's on these forums, what's the deal?

I don't know what the deal is. They're good trucks, especially on carpet.

I like the HHudy Sprung Steel CVD type drive shafts. Also they say if you boil the arms it make them more durable but they will flex more.

I got an M18T for X-Mas too, I have it all setup with mamba brushless, spektrum and lipo. Glad to see I am not the only one with one that is on here.

I am also going to be doing indoor carpet racing, no jumps.

yeah, you don't hear much about the M18T...
That looks like a promising chassis. Those upper arms actually look like they could be a bit stiffer than simply a turnbuckle/tie-rod.
But, does the bottom A-arm pivot on a pin, or on ball-ends?? I don't know if I would like that part...
It looks pretty symmetrical from front to back, even the same hub knuckles, front and back, huh?

Did it come with the sway bar?

The regular version of the M18T comes with swaybars as well. Its the M18MT versions that do not since they use 8 shocks.

Thanks!!!

The stickers came with my Mamba Micro Pro system, I was surprised when they were in there. I just wish were clear backed and not white backed.
