Ah, I haven't heard anything of the sort. Doesn't matter though, they are there this year. It's a great facillity, and their willingness to have us come in and host the event, is much appreciated.
Sanctioned, championship events will be rotated between qualified tracks. It would be someplace else next year anyway.

Stock 1/18 tc will be 5 cell 2/3 A. Motor is not certain, but will probably be a Venom fireball. Motor will be a handout.. Will post soon.

Does that mean it's a bad idea to drive from Ohio to race 1/18 pan car? We have a following of BRP guys here, but I don't know how many would make the trip.

It's too early to tell. I know a few people that are planning to run scalpel/BRP. We are offering the pan class as 'open', but will offer a stock if there is enough interest.

I will be bringing my 8000k powered 7.4 lipo Scalpel (open class) and at least 3 friends with the same (2 for sure).

We have decided to have BOTH stock and mod for 1/18 pan! We have found enough interest locally to justify the inclusion of a stock class!
We are very close to a decision on the stock 1/18 motors. Hand outs will be the same for 1/18 4wd tc and 1/18 2wd pan. stock 1/18 pan will be 4 cell 2/3 A. Stock 1/18 4wd tc will be 5 cell.
There has been some lack of consistancy (major understatement) in class definitions for 'micro' racing. We hope to make a difference in that area. A new sanctioning body is being created and this race will run under those rules. All entrants will receive free membership in this organization. Future Championship level events will be awarded to facillities across the country. In a similar fashion to the way ROAR operates in that area. I think this is the best way to promote small scale racing and bring some pressure to bear on manufacturers, to produce racing vehicles that conform to some sort of accepted standards. There will be much more on this subject in the near future....

Sounds like some good ideas. Some consistency would be great. There are 1/18th that aren't scale, some that are, and then you have 1/14th, 1/17th, and 1/24th out there as well.

I will make the trip and run my BRP with 4 cells and whatever motor is handout.
