Kydex works great it's very cheap, easy to work with and quite durable. It has been use for years in rc for bumpers

Default Modded 18R $250 Shipped

Hi All,

I don't have a trade/sell history here, but I've been around for a while and there are several people in the Colorado Racing-Drifting forum that will vouch for me. I'm not a scammer, I just don't use my 18R and it's a shame. Here it is...

- Mamba 6800kv w/ Mamba 25 ESC and Custom Saddlepack 2s LiPo (no balance plug).
- Plug & Play - No on/off Switch, just plug it in.
- Full Exotek Mid-Motor Mount Carbon Fiber/Blue Aluminum Chassis, Shock Towers, Diff Covers, and Drive Shaft.
- Steel Input and Diff Gears.
- Titanium Out-Drives.
- Steel CVD Axles.
- Titanium Turnbuckle Kit.
- Two Stock Shocks and Two 3racing Aluminum Threaded Shocks.
- Hi-Tech Servo.
- Two Sets of Drifting Tires.
- Stock Gold Rim Set w/ Stock Tires.
- Stock Motor
- Stock Chassis, Shock Towers, Diff Covers, and Drive Shaft.

This car is set, and is one of the best on-road set ups for racing that you can have. The car has not been abused and is in great condition. The LiPo and Mamba Competition Package have about 15-20 charges and runs through them. Just add radio gear and you're off! PM me if you're interested. Pay Pal only and I'll ship the same day as payment.

I run a spool. The 18R is a great car for asphalt. I really enjoy mine.

I love mine. I just got it 2 weeks ago of Craigs List. It has a 17t mod motor. I picked up a 1600 Reedy batt. other than that is stock. I'm working on getting my drag link and servo saver done to help with the wheel slop. also looking at upgrading alot more soon.

I'm going to race it for the first time on the 26th. so looking forward to it. Here is 1 pic so far but will get more tonight.

yeah i will also be racing on asphalt.....IIGQ4U so how did u tune out the off power push caused by the front spool? also are u running cvd's or stock dog bones with ur spool because i tryed running the spool with the stock bones but the outdrives in the spool are too deep so the right bone could not stay in.....but i got cvd's comming in the mail and i would like to try out the spool before friday's race.

nice set up Krupted how do u like the 17t motor is it too much for the 18r, racning wise?

well i jsut talked to my LHS there going to hold me and HS-5065 digi servo and 18t hitec servo saver n ima go n pick it up today....this should solve my centering problems.....o yeah i forgot to mention i have the metal servo ring and that helps with the slop a lot

Hi,

There are a number of adjustments that can be made to increase steering off power. You can adjust rake, shock angle, droop, shock stiffness, or any combination thereof.

In regard to your second question, I use CVDs up front and dogbones in the rear. I also use a spring that I stretched a bit to keep the CVD from sliding inward too much.

Post pics of your 18Rs as well folks and let us know on what surface you run/race your 18R

Love my 18r. So much that I'm building it a big brother and will be racing less dirt. NO pics, but it looks like every other stock Camino...

Question: Is anyone running a Sportwerks XLR8 motor in their 18r?

I bought one, have no idea what pinion to start with (as there is no data available as to what freakin turn this motor is....but it's gotta have more "ooomph" than the stock motor)

I also have noticed that SMC makes a 2s LiPO to fit the tray. Anyone running oone of these (I run a much larger pack in a much larger car, love it. Hoping the smaller pack will be as impressive)

I know the dreaded micro esc has no LiPo cutoff, but it's ok. I"m only running 5 minute qualifiers and 7 minute mains...
